70th Anniversary - BBMF
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is a household name and a national institution, and has appeared many times at the Windermere Airshow.
This year will be no exception, and we are delighted to welcome back the Spitfire, Hurricane & the Dakota to the skies above Windermere. The Hurricane & Spitfire will perform displays, whilst the Dakota will take part in a flypast.
Where are they flying from & where are they going to?
On Saturday the planes will be flying from Edinburgh, and, after their display over the lake, will return to Carlisle airport, where they will stay overnight before returning for Sunday’s display. They will then fly on to the Sunderland Airshow, before returning to RAF Coningsby.
